27 YEARS OF LOVE

Today marks the 27th wedding anniversary of my parents. I am but proud that Nanay and Tatay had reached this point and has stayed together despite of overwhelming rough patches along the way. I know your relationship was never perfect, but who cares? who has anyway? 27 years of getting to know each other, getting to understand each other, loving, fighting, hating, understanding and yet sticking together no matter what.

Throughout your journey, the six of us happened.  I am not sure if I made your life more interesting or made it a living hell and even if I did, I was just an ignorant difficult child so I am sorry you had to bear it all.

I am writing this because you both know that showing love/ affection towards you is something I am not good at. I guess what i really wanted to do is to shout-out to everybody out there how much I love you both and how grateful I am, together with my five brothers for raising us well.  Thank you for leading us where we are right now, though I know we still have lots of "bigas na kakainin" along the way.  I have a lot more to say, I have a lot more to tell, but this just isn’t the right moment for it. I think of the two of you as I fall short of words to show my gratitude, to express my affection towards the two of you but here I am trying to wish the both you a very happy wedding anniversary.

Indeed, God is really good for blessing us the most wonderful parents as possible as we ever had. Given the chance to have another life, in another lifetime, i would still choose both of you as my parents. I love you. We love you. Happy Anniversary Nanay Marina and Tatay Wilson!

From your eldest only daughter,
Nini

Hey there Mr. Blog! :)

Hey there! Finally got the chance to start my first ever serious (I hope) blog. I guess I am a frustrated writer ever since. I have lots of thoughts streaming into my mind that I badly wanted to catch, but, sadly, I always end up staring at the monitor with my keyboard -untouched, or my journal -uninked.

It was not the fad of blogging that made me decide to have one of my own. It’s the exhilarating idea and feeling of preserving thoughts in letters and the rhapsody of having an ideal pseudo-friend who cannot, even a tint, will judge and interrupt you while listening to your endless rants about the world, redundant “kilig” moments with your crushes, eternal frets during your emo-toyo moments, your  passionate tales of the places you have been and the ostentatious minutes you just had, the stupid joke of your friend, your amazing spiritual journey, your tough fight for the things you believe in.. the mammoth dreams of your soul, and of course, the brave articulation of your unrequited love for someone you just wish he/she is reading your bullshit too.

Blogging is human.

So what is there to say anyway? Maybe I’ll start of with introducing myself? Or maybe I can do that next time. I’m just pillaging time from my day-work and my good conscience is starting to eat me. Hahaha! Till next time.
